Zona "Jeannette" Ditcher

Zona “Jeannette” Ditcher, 89, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, November 3, 2017, following a sudden illness. She was born October 22, 1928 in Powhatan Point, Ohio to the late Carroll Alfred and Olive Elizabeth (Polen) Cain.

She was a 1946 graduate of Dennison High School. On January 8, 1949, she married Stephen W. Ditcher, Jr., and enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his death in 2000. They are survived by 5 children, Alice (Dorsey) Davisson, Steve (Nancy) Ditcher, III, Olive (Andrew A.) Yoder, Jr., Carol (Mike) Lewis, and Diane (Randy) Emler; 13 grandchildren, Andrew V. (partner, Rachel) Yoder, Ann (Sean) McConnell, Marcy (Ben) Lee, Stephanie (Jeremy) Miller, Sara (fiancée, Dani) Yates, Nicole (Bob) Hickman, Erica (Mike) Stephenson, Ali (Dave) Harding, David (Andrea) Ditcher, Chad Ditcher, Marcus (Katie) Emler, Kellie Lewis, and Kelsy (Andy) Allensworth; and 12 great-grandchildren, Ryli and Bayli McConnell, Aubree Yates, Kayden and Perrin Miller, Zoe, Roman and Samuel Lee, Braxton and Peyton Hickman, Emmanuel Emler, and Solomon Allensworth, with 3 more on the way. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Ditcher in 2002, and a brother, Robert E. Cain.

Family and friends may call at R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home on Sunday, November 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastors Ben Lee and Dorsey Davisson officiating. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
