Wilma Irene Doney

Wilma Irene Doney, 89, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia. Born March 28, 1925 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late William Andrew and Helen Irene (Warner) Harshey.

A lifelong resident of Uhrichsville, Wilma was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church. On April 9, 1947, she married Scott Morris Doney with whom she enjoyed nearly 36 years of marriage until his passing on June 5, 1983. She is survived by three children: Patricia (David) Andreatta of New Philadelphia, Judith (Jim) Povick of Uhrichsville, and Floyd (Aie) Doney of Athens, Ohio; grandsons: Dr. Brock Andreatta, Dr. Drew Andreatta, Scott Povick, Aaron (Alisha) Povick, and Scott Doney; and great-grandchildren: Gavin, Jael, Gabe, Braxton, and Braylon Povick. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Jane Abel-Moore.

In keeping with Wilma’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation or service. A private, family service is planned. She will be interred with her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
