William L. Weaver

January 13, 1949 — July 12, 2014

William L. Weaver, 65, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, after a lengthy illness. Born January 13, 1949 in Dover, he was a son of the late Floyd William and Peggy Lou (Schwab) Weaver.

A lifelong resident of the area, Bill was a 1967 graduate of Claymont High School and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Dennison. He retired from Aleris in Uhrichsville and had previously been employed by Evans Brick in Midvale. He loved hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time. Above all else, he was devoted to his family and especially cherished the time that he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On September 22, 1966, Bill married the former Carol Ann Underwood who survives him. He is also survived by their children, Kelly Weaver and Kari (companion, Davey Jones) Weaver of Dover and Scott (Vonnie) Weaver of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Steven (Angela) Weaver, Trent (Kayce) Weaver, Tori (fiancé, Kyle Kurtz) Jones, Kaitlyn Weaver, Austin Weaver, Melissa Rohn and Kellee Jo Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Chloe, Brennen, Kaden, Kyla and Aleeah with another expected. He is also survived by a brother, Tom (Linda) Weaver; sister, Cheri Weaver; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members whom he loved like his own children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Weaver.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor George Reichman, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, in Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
