William C. Miller

William Clarence Miller, 89, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his home. Born June 25, 1932 in Richmond, California, he was the son of the late William E. and Pearl (Fowler) Miller.

After high school, Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954. He was employed as a foreman for many years at Gerstenslager Company in Wooster, Ohio until his retirement. He was a former member of the Uhrichsville Moose who enjoyed working with wood, especially crafting wildlife figurines. He also enjoyed doing yardwork and going to auctions and sales.

On June 29, 2006, he married Jane E. (Warrick) Miller who survives him at their home. He is also survived by a daughter, Patty (Max) Bishop; sons, Tom Miller and David (Dorrie) Miller; stepdaughters, Kristi (Dan) Atkins and Holly Ellis; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister in childhood.

According to Bill’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. Because no services are planned at the funeral home, flowers to honor Bill’s memory may be sent to his home.
