William Michael "Bill" Kleski

January 30, 1924 — August 26, 2010

William “Bill” Michael Kleski, formerly of Uhrichsville, died August 26, 2010 at Emeritus at Chestnut Hill in Columbus. Born January 30, 1924 in Harrison County, he served as a diver in the United State Navy during WWII and later worked as a carpenter and a farmer. He was a lifetime Member of Carpenters Local Union 69 and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing Euchre, and “being ornery”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Laura Kleski, his wife Shirley (Finney) Kleski, his sister, Laura Lanning, and his brothers, Walter, Stan, Fred, Cash and John Kleski.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy (Charles) Sullivan of Johnstown, his granddaughter, Christine (William) Robbins of Johnstown, his brother, Edward (Ethel) Kleski of Uhrichsville, sisters-in-law Susie Kleski, Shirley Kleski, and Dorothy Kleski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Chapel Grove Inn and Emeritus at Chestnut Hill for their wonderful care for Bill over the last five years. The family also wishes to thank the outstanding caregivers with Acclaim Hospice for the love and support given to Bill and his family, especially Samantha Northcutt, his very special Hospice “Angel” who brought much love and joy to his final days.

Family and friends may call at visitation on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. A funeral service, conducted by Hospice Chaplain Dennis Barnhart, will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:00 am in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Acclaim Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., Suite 140, Columbus, OH 43231.
