William "Bill" Eugene Retterer

William Eugene “Bill” Retterer, 55, of Tuscarawas, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Born June 23, 1961 in Kenton, Ohio, he was a son of Leila Pauline (Wynegar) Retterer Kennedy and the late Gary Nelson Retterer.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his wife, the former Brenda Kay Jarvis, whom he married October 9, 2015; stepdaughter, Sarah Barker; sister, April Coffin; mother-in-law, Beverly Jarvis; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kyle Jarvis III, Keith and Beth Jarvis, and Becky and Jeff Schrock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Junior Kennedy, and father-in-law, Kyle Jarvis, Jr., as well as his father.

Prior to moving to Tuscarawas a year ago, Bill was a resident of Chicago. He worked in maintenance for local manufacturing companies and was a member of Light in the Valley Ministries in Newcomerstown. Bill loved to play pool, was a member of the American Billiards Association, and had been active in pool league play.

Services, officiated by Pastor Ed Rexroad, will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 15, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison with visitation from 11am to 1pm. Interment is in Gnadenhutten’s Clay-Union Cemetery.
