Vivian L. Eichel, 69, of Dennison, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia after a brief illness. Born July 10, 1945 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty Irene (Van Alstyne) Heintz.
  
  
  A 1963 graduate of Dover High School, Vivian was a lifelong resident of the area, who retired from the Timken Co. after 35 years of employment. In her younger years, she worked at the Eiler Record Shop for 5 years and spent 5 summers working at the A & W Rootbeer Stand, as well. She attended St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover. Vivian was a genealogy buff who loved researching family histories. She was a longtime member of the Tuscarawas Co. Genealogical Society and had served as their treasurer from 1997 to 2006. She was also a former member of the Toastmasters.
  
  
  Vivian is survived by her children: Darren (Mandy) Prosser of Dover, Warren (Sarah) Prosser of Canton, Tammy Eichel of South Dakota, and Jimmy Eichel and Vicky Eichel of Montana; grandchildren: Damien and Owen Prosser, and Cody, Andrew, Brannen, Noah, Mindy, and Lynnai Eichel; brother, Doug (Faye) Heintz; sister, Biva (George) Polen; a number of nieces and nephews; her dear friends who looked after her for many years: Eleanor Malterer, Barbara Garner, Teresa, Steve, Tucker, Dakota, Chaska, and Nakaza West, and William Sutton; and her beloved pets, Ala and Cameera.
  
  
  In keeping with her wishes, Vivian has been cremated without a public visitation. A celebration of her life is planned for a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
