Victoria K. "Vicki" Bailey

Victoria Kay “Vicki” Bailey, 67, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville. Born October 23, 1954 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late John Dominic and Grace Elizabeth (Heck) Scopel.

On August 15, 1975, Vicki married Donald Eugene Bailey, Sr. with whom she enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage until his passing on May 8, 2010. They are survived by six children, Dale Bailey, Jonas (Samie) Bailey, Tami (Kevin Kohler) Arthurs, Leora Smith, Donald (Lisa) Bailey, and Ronald (fiancée, Melissa Vance) Bailey; 26 grandchildren, Alexa, Tori, Gina, Madison, Dominick, Mason, Leo, Samsam, Chasity, Randi, Jessica, Keith II, Krishen, Robin, Kelly, Bryan, Kevin, Cheyenne, Mercedes, Arian, Ashdon, Austen, Quinn, Braden, Bastian, and Tori; and many great-grandchildren. Vicki is also survived by her siblings, John (Carol) Scopel, Felix (Sue) Scopel, Josephine (Dean) Harding, Carolyn Scopel, Teresa Louise Donovan, Betty (Rex) Arnold, and Tim (Kathy) Scopel; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Sherry Campbell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Bailey; sister, Mary McNutt; and son-in-law, Bryant Smith.

Vicki was a lifelong area resident who had been a nurses’ aide for several area nursing homes until her retirement from Country Club Retirement Center. She enjoyed fishing and camping, and more than anything, she treasured the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.

Services for Vicki will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Fairview Cemetery in Rumley Township. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
