Tyler J Welch

Tyler J Welch, 28, of Gnadenhutten, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 20, 2021, at his home. Born January 14, 1993 in Canton, he was a son of Terry J “T.J.” Welch and the late Kelly Sue (Swain) Welch.

Tyler was a 2011 graduate of Claymont High School who then worked at Dover Chemical for nearly a decade before, most recently, working at Gemini Manufacturing. He was also a Firefighter and EMT for Uhrichsville Fire Department who had faithfully served his community for nearly a decade, beginning on November 21, 2011. He was passionate about his work as a firefighter and truly loved helping people. Tyler enjoyed gaming and was a sports enthusiast who especially loved watching Buckeye and Browns football, the Cleveland Indians, and Boston Bruins Hockey. Most of all, he treasured the time that he spent with his daughters.

He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his father and stepmother, T.J. and Tanya Welch; his daughters, Kaycee and Aubree Welch, and their mother, Ashley (Lowdermilk) Welch; brother, Bryce Welch; paternal grandmother, Brenda Welch; stepsisters, Leah and Riley Moore; niece, Radleigh Rae; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many dear friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tom Welch, and maternal grandparents, Gerald and Sharon Swain.

Pastor Dave Bryan will officiate a 1:00 p.m. service on Tuesday, September 28, at Park Christian Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
