Todd Golec

November 8, 1967 — July 7, 2012

Todd Golec, 44, of New Philadelphia, formerly of Dennison, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Amberwood Manor in New Philadelphia following a period of declining health. Born November 8, 1967 in Dover, he was a son of Roy G. and Sharon L. (Parks) Golec of Dennison.

A resident of Tuscarawas County for most of his life with the exception of several years when he lived in Columbus, Todd was a 1986 graduate of Claymont High School. He was a sales representative for Wayne Dalton for a number of years and, most recently, had worked for Lowe’s. Todd was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He was Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Danielle Golec of New Philadelphia; fiancée, Kim Dudek of New Philadelphia; sister, Gina Hunt and her husband, Rob, of Uhrichsville; brother, Douglas Golec and his wife, Jennifer, of Dennison; niece, Stacie Pottenger and her husband, Matt, of Savannah, Georgia; nephews, Thomas “T.J.” Archer of Columbus and Tyler, Hunter and Carson Golec of Dennison; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members, as well as many dear friends. He will also be sadly missed by his canine best friend, Koko. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Betty Parks and Frank and Sophie Golec, all of whom had lived in Dennison.

In keeping with Todd’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation or service. Those wishing to honor his memory are encouraged to do so by a charitable donation to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663, in lieu of flowers.
