Timothy Lee Ohler, 62, of Dennison, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Born September 16, 1952, in Dennison, he was a son of Grace Lillian (Cotton) Ohler of New Philadelphia and the late George Dean Ohler, Sr.
Tim was a 1970 graduate of Claymont and a lifelong resident of the area. Throughout his long career, he worked for several area companies, most recently having worked at Primary Packaging in Bolivar for 23 years, where he was a purchasing manager. He was a longtime member of the American Italian Club in Dennison and the Uhrichsville Elks. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in nature, hunting, and above all, fishing. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and cherished the time that he spent with his family.
On July 24, 1971, he married the former Linda M. Zay with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage. In addition to his wife and mother, Tim is survived by sons, Timothy L. (Kristen) Ohler, II of Sugarcreek and Chad A. (Amber) Ohler of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Macey, Garrett, Bryce, Christina (Josh), Nichole, Montie, and Billie-Jean; great-grandchildren, Emma and Elaina; brother, George “Dean” Ohler, Jr.; father-in-law, Robert Zay; and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Donna Zay.
Services, officiated by Rev. John W. Clark, will be held at 11am on Friday, January 23, in Uhrichsville First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7pm in the church on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
