Timothy Richard Markwell

Timothy Richard Markwell, 60, of Bowerston, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born September 18, 1958 in Conneaut, Ohio, he was a son of Violet Deloris (Stanley) Markwell of Bowerston and the late Phillip Louis Markwell, Sr.

Tim was a resident of the Bowerston area since the 70s and had worked many years for his family’s logging business there. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, spending time in nature, and most of all, being with his family, friends and dogs.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Timothy R. (Brenda) Markwell, II, Jessie (Jenni) Markwell, Chad Markwell and Angie Markwell; grandchildren, Natalie, Quenton, Gauge, Wyatt, Trey, Maddie, Remi, Aubrey and Jessie; brothers, Phillip L. Markwell, Jr. and James (Tammy) Markwell; sisters, Delores “Dee” (Ray) Burleson and Karen (Marty) Bloom; many nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Mary Lehmiller.

In keeping with Tim’s wishes, cremation is planned. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Jerralyn Myers, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any charity which is for the benefit of animals.
