Timothy Paul Carper

Timothy “Grumpy” Paul Carper, age 60, of Tuscarawas, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 20th, 2021 at Aultman Hospital of COVID-19.

Born in Canton, Ohio on March 31, 1961, Tim was a son of the late Paul and Mildred (Hoffman) Carper. Tim graduated from Louisville High School in 1979. He worked at Zimmer Biomet for over 30 years.

Tim was extremely proud of his family and was affectionately known as Grumpy. Cooking, John Deere tractors, and history were some of his many passions.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Ervin and Kate Swaldo, and sister- and brother-in-law, Vicki and Terry Leggett.

Tim will be deeply missed by his wife, Kay Lynn (Swaldo) Carper, whom he married on March 24, 1992; a daughter, Tracy (Frank) Saho; three grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Saho, Paige (Brian) Kielau, and Reese Saho; a great-granddaughter, Ellie “Piggy” Dressel; two sisters, Kay (Eric) VanHorn, and Cindy (Patrick) Workman; sister- and brother-in-law, Brent and Sara Lehigh; nieces and nephews, Aaron VanHorn, Peter VanHorn, Jamie (Michele) Lehigh, Lori (Jamie) Hartrick, Kellie Hall, and Jodie Jones; and countless friends.
