Thomas "Tommy Z" George Sigler, Iii

Thomas George “Tommy Z” Sigler, III, 27, of Baltic, Ohio, formerly a resident of the Twin City area, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born Sept. 22, 1984 in Sun Valley, California, he was a son of Thomas G. Sigler, II of South Bay, California and Heather L. Coverdale of Dennison, along with his beloved stepfather, the late Duane A. Morse, who raised Tommy like his own.

After attending Claymont High School, Tommy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country as an Anti-tank Missileman and Infantry Assaultman from 2005 to 2009, including a tour in Iraq. He was a member of the American Legion in Norwalk, Ca. and was in the process of becoming a member of a local American Legion post, as well.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his fiancée, Mindy Martin of the home; children, Preston and Justice Watkins of the home with a third child expected; siblings, Donald (Kari) Coverdale of Bakersfield, Ca., Mellissa Coverdale of Dennison, Timmy Morse of San Diego, Ca. and Gordon Hartman of New Philadelphia; half siblings, Melinda, John and April; grandmother, Verna Coverdale of Dennison; maternal aunts and uncle, Dawn Elliott, Loretta Carter, Tina Coverdale and Clifford Coverdale and their families; numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including special cousins, Cliff, Matt, Ricky and Jacob; a dear friend, Ricky Brandon; his best friend and brother-in-arms, Paul Agee of Hamilton, Ohio; and many more friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Coverdale; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Shirley Sigler; and brother-in-law, Justin Bunch.

Services for Tommy, officiated by Rev. Bob Jones, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to his family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269, in lieu of flowers, to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
