Thomas Richard "Tommy" Smith

Thomas Richard “Tommy” Smith, 35, died suddenly at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover on Monday, April 6, 2020. Born October 4, 1984 in Lancaster, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas William (wife, Mickey) Smith of Dennison and Sherriee Rife (husband, Rick) Vincent of New Philadelphia.

In addition to his parents, Tommy is survived by his fiancée, Taylor Cochran; son, Alijah Smith; children from a previous relationship, Tommy, Kylur, Makenna and Brock; sister, Mandee (husband, Kelly) Garrett; nephew, Christopher Smith; grandmother, Jean Rife of Lancaster; soon to be stepdaughter, Remedi Barnett, and mother-in-law, Christine Brown, with whom he had resided; and a large extended family which includes aunts, uncles and cousins.

No public visitation or service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mental Health Care Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program, 201 Hospital Drive, Dover, OH 44622.
