Thomas R. "Rob" Stull

August 7, 1967 — August 5, 2016

Thomas Robert “Rob” Stull, 48, of Uhrichsville, died from injuries sustained in an accident at a family friend’s home on Friday, August 5, 2016. The son of Charles Robert “Bob” and Joy Kaye (Bigler) Stull, he was born August 7, 1967 in Dennison. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Brenton and Alec Stull; daughter, Madison Stull; grandchildren, Ellison and Luna Stull; sisters, Kim (Jamie) Urban and Tina (Keith) Cope; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Robert Stull, Jr., and grandparents, Marie and Tom Bigler and Paul and Margaret Stull.

Some folks knew him as Tom. Some folks knew him as Rob. Some folks didn’t know him at all, and he liked it that way. He was a gentleman of courageous character. He set high goals with deeply rooted Christian beliefs. He was honest, loyal, and committed to high principles.

He was a proud 922’er who lived on the west side of Uhrichsville. He enjoyed fishing in the Stillwater Creek and loved to listen to “the sounds of Trenton Avenue” as he relaxed in his hammock in the evenings (traffic…kids playing… and the doves cooing). His job with Fed Ex took him to places like London, Ohio and Coraopolis (Moon Twp.), Pennsylvania. He loved “the Burgh”… but not as much as Uhrichsville, and he came back home to be with family and friends.

He enjoyed playing “Fantasy Golf” with the pros, once sinking a “hole in one” against Arnold Palmer. He was an avid follower of “Dream Theater” and its co-founder, Mike Portnoy. He strove to achieve his own mastery on the drums, but seemed to have a little problem with the rhythm.

After his graduation from Indian Hills Christian School in 1985, he served his country as a proud member of the United States Navy in the late 80s. He lived his life well by paying his dues, staying the course, and running a good race.

Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday, August 11, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison.
