Thomas Homer Quarles, 62, of the Twin City area, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Born January 6, 1957 in Dover, he was a son of the late Clingmond Homer and Monna Maxine (Hensley) Quarles. A Tuscarawas County resident for much of his life, he was a 1976 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He was a member of the Cambridge and Dennison Eagles, as well as the Uhrichsville Moose.
Tom is survived by his children, Tabitha (John) Spaar, Brandon (Kristen) Quarles and Dustin Quarles; grandchildren, Trent Leeper, Chanler Zedi, Tionna Zedi and Raegan Spaar; great-granddaughter, Ava Leeper; sister, Frankie Tikva; brother, Tim Hensley; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dave, Dan and Joseph Quarles, and brother-in-law, Paul Tikva.
According to Tom’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. He will be interred with his parents at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Honoring Tom’s love for his dogs, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663, in lieu of flowers.
