Thomas Elwood Gibson, 40, of Gnadenhutten, O., passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at his residence, following a long illness.
Born at Dennison, O. on November 24, 1969, he was a son of Rita Ann (Barcus) Gibson of Gnadenhutten and the late John William Gibson.
Tom worked for Stone Container for fifteen years before he fell ill. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing and going to Midvale Speedway, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
On August 10, 1996, he married Linda Sue (Sanders) Gibson who survives of the home. Also surviving are his three children: Lori Gibson of the home, Lynn (Gibson) Bender and her husband, Jake, of Coshocton, and Angel Gibson of Port Washington. He is also survived by four sisters and a brother: Darlene Apodaca of Denver, Gary Gibson of Uhrichsville, Suetta Sanders and her husband, Larry, of Uhrichsville, Tammy Martinez and her husband, Hernan, of Massillon, and Penny Sanders and her husband, Carl, of Newport; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew and an aunt.
Services for Tom, officiated by Pastor Janie Hostetler, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to Tom’s family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
