He will be missed by many in the Twin City community as he is remembered for his outgoing, friendly nature. Tom was a longtime member of the Dennison and Uhrichsville Eagles who loved fishing whenever he got the chance and spending time with friends and loved ones.
In August of 1979, Tom married the former Marjorie Jones with whom he enjoyed 31 years of marriage until her passing on August 3, 2010. They are survived by four children, Scott (April) Jones, Angie (Andrew) Villalobos, Kimberly Thomas Fantin, and Thomas H. (Shannon) Fantin, Jr., as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom is also survived by his sister, Phamey Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Romako, and Fe, Bill, Louie and Andy Fantin, and sisters, Kay Carpenter, Josephine Romako, and Brenda Fantin.
According to Tom’s wishes, he will be cremated prior to interment in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. His family plan to have a graveside service with military committal on a future date. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring Tom’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
