Terry Eugene Cady, 81, of Stillwater, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016, at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Born August 25, 1934 in Uhrichsville, he was a son of the late Claude Charles and Isabel Violet (Hines) Cady.
Terry was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School in 1953, and later served his country in the Army from 1957 to 1959. He retired in 1991 from Joy Manufacturing and had previously been employed by Evans Pipe. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking in his spare time, and above all else, loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was Methodist by faith.
On September 11, 1960, Terry married the former Betty Lou Brown who survives him. He is also survived by their children, Karen (Chuck) Kinsey, Christine (Bill) Armstrong, Michael Cady and Diann Martin; grandchildren, Casey, Jessica, Jeremy, Michael, Jaymie, Amber, Logan, Julie, Janea, Lacey, Kaylee and Ryan; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The last of his family’s generation, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Don and Doyle Cady, Thelma Thiebaud and Emmy Gallagher.
Visitation will be 1-2pm on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, followed by a 2pm funeral. A private, family graveside service will be held in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Stillwater at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
