Tamela S. Best

Tamela Sue Best, 62, of Dennison, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, after a brief battle with Covid. Born August 30, 1959 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Richard Paul “Dick” and Joann (Coventry) Cummings.

Tammy was a lifelong area resident who had attended Conotton Valley Schools before graduating in 1978 from Claymont High School and Buckeye Joint Vocational School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who loved camping with her family and was a devoted to her beloved canine companions. She was a member of the Uhrichsville Women of the Moose.

On August 12, 1998, Tammy married Richard W. Best who survives her. She is also survived by her son, Travis Donato; daughter, Montana Best; grandchildren, Katie, Trevor, Sarah, Tiffany, and Mariah Donato; brother, Rick Cummings and his wife, Debbie; sister, Shawn Cummings and her husband, Randy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

According to Tammy’s wishes, cremation is planned. A celebration of her life will be held on a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
