Sylvia A. Seese-Baker

Sylvia Ann (Reppart) Seese-Baker, 54, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away suddenly in her home of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, December 12, 2010. Born May 16, 1956 in Wheeling, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Lewis Andrew and Evelyn Marie (Carman) Reppart.

A 1975 graduate of Union Local H.S. in Belmont Co., Sylvia was a resident of the Twin City area for the past thirty years. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and homemaker, she worked as a caregiver and nurses’ aide for many years at Morning View Nursing Home and, most recently, for Interim Healthcare in Coshocton. Caring for others was truly her gift and her life’s work, but her greatest joy came from the time that she spent with her grandchildren, especially her dear granddaughter, Robin.

On July 1, 2001, Sylvia married Wayne M. Baker who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Reppart and his wife, Dee, of Hopedale, Tracy Reppart of Cadiz, Denise Toole and her husband, Darrel, of Gnadenhutten, and Gerri Lynne Toole and her husband, Jerry, of Bowerston; her children, David Andrew Seese and his wife, Erica, of Coral Springs, Fla., Anna Marie Seese of Uhrichsville, and Robert Lewis Seese and his companion, Bethany, of Dennison; step children, Eric W. Baker and his wife, Julie, of California and Amy Sue Baker of New Philadelphia; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Sylvia, officiated by Pastor Michael C. Travis, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, in Uhrichsville Nazarene Church. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
