Susie L. Kleski

April 4, 1919 — September 11, 2014

Susie L. Kleski, 95, a lifelong Wainwright resident, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from her daughter’s home in Columbus. Born April 4, 1919 in Wainwright, she was a daughter of the late Burton “Bert” and Mamie (Edwards) Edie. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Myers; second husband, Stanley Kleski, Sr.; sister, Grace Edie; brothers, Albert, George, William and Frank Edie; an infant daughter, Shirley Myers; great-granddaughter, Cearra Susie Campbell; and stepson, Stanley Kleski, Jr.

Susie is survived by 4 children: Susan Gibbs of Columbus, Linda Meese of Wainwright, Nancy Cardani of Columbus and Harry (Nancy) Myers of Kentucky; sons-in-law, Pat Cardani and Jerry Gibbs; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson with another great-great-grandchild expected; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also spent 34 years as a banquet waitress at Atwood Lodge. In her spare time, she was an avid reader.

Her grandson, the Rev. Christopher Scott Gibbs, will officiate her funeral at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery near Tuscarawas. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice and to help support her grandson’s ministry of which she was very proud, New Life Christian Center, Attn: African Missionary Christopher Gibbs Fund, 2642 Columbus-Lancaster Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130.
