Susie L. Kleski

Susie L. Kleski, 95, a lifelong Wainwright resident, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from her daughter’s home in Columbus. Born April 4, 1919 in Wainwright, she was a daughter of the late Burton “Bert” and Mamie (Edwards) Edie. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Myers; second husband, Stanley Kleski, Sr.; sister, Grace Edie; brothers, Albert, George, William and Frank Edie; an infant daughter, Shirley Myers; great-granddaughter, Cearra Susie Campbell; and stepson, Stanley Kleski, Jr.

Susie is survived by 4 children: Susan Gibbs of Columbus, Linda Meese of Wainwright, Nancy Cardani of Columbus and Harry (Nancy) Myers of Kentucky; sons-in-law, Pat Cardani and Jerry Gibbs; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson with another great-great-grandchild expected; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Susie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also spent 34 years as a banquet waitress at Atwood Lodge. In her spare time, she was an avid reader.

Her grandson, the Rev. Christopher Scott Gibbs, will officiate her funeral at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery near Tuscarawas. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
