Sue E. Tantarelli, 59, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 at her home after a battle with cancer. A daughter of Ellen Isabell (Dean) Rowe of Uhrichsville and the late Arnold Douglas Rowe, she was born August 9, 1951 in Mulberry, Arkansas.
A resident of the Twin City area since her early childhood, Sue made her home a welcoming place for everyone in her neighborhood. She was always ready to share her time or a hot meal with anyone who needed it. Most recently, she had worked for the Harcatus kitchen, until her health prevented her, and had also worked at Alsco, the Zoar Tavern, and Certified over the years. Even while working outside the home, Sue always made her family her first priority. She loved caring for her husband, sons, and home, and truly treasured the time that she spent with her large family which includes her mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Sue was married to Louis Michael Tantarelli on January 29, 1971 and enjoyed over thirty-one years of marriage with him until his death on August 7, 2002. They are survived by three sons, Louis Tantarelli of Uhrichsville, Keith Tantarelli and his wife, Tiffany, of Dennison, and Todd Tantarelli and his companion, Desiree Moreland, of Uhrichsville; and a grandson, Bryce Louis Michael Tantarelli of Uhrichsville.
Sue is also survived by her mother, Ellen Rowe of Uhrichsville; five brothers, Jimmy “Doug” Rowe, Edward “Lee” Rowe, David A. Rowe and his wife, Dana, Ronald D. Rowe, and Arthur “Billy” Rowe; two sisters, Janet Green and Mary Lou Dunlap and her husband, Mark; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Mandy Green.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Alfonso and Helen Tantarelli.
Services for Sue, officiated by Rev. Larry Malterer, will be held on Monday, December 20, at 1:00 p.m. in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery beside her beloved husband. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Sue’s family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of her final expenses or to the Sue Tantarelli Benefit Fund at First National Bank of Dennison.
