Steven Allen Smart

Steve Allen Smart, 56, of Uhrichsville passed away at his home on March 7, 2018 following a lengthy illness. Born August 25, 1961 he was a son of the late Jesse and Doreene (Tice) Smart. He is also preceded in death by an infant daughter, and siblings, Jesse Smart, Chuck Smart, Shirley Smart, and Rose Reed.

Steven graduated from Strasburg Schools. He adored his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, and a good smoke.

Steven is survived by his fiancée, Ginger Salsberry; children, Crystal (Corey) McChesney, Brandon Moore, Matthew (fiancée, Lacie Tucker) Salsberry, Daniel (Chandy) Salsberry, and Brittney (finace, Kenny Chestnut) Salsberry; siblings, Mary Reynolds, Tonie Lenarze, Harvey Smart, and Earl Smart; 9 grandchildren, with one more expected; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Chris and Colleen Robbins. The family would like to thank Betsy Sanders and Michelle Reynolds, Ember Aids who took good care of Steven in his final days.

In keeping with Steven’s wishes he has been cremated without a public visitation. He will be reunited with his parents, in burial in a cemetery in Sugarcreek. Donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray his final expenses.
