For 15 years, Sherri worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where she truly loved what she did. More than coworkers, the people she worked alongside became like family, and she treasured the friendships she built there.
Above all else, Sherri was devoted to her family. Her son, Jeremy Lester Little, was the light of her life and her greatest joy. Though his passing in 2006 left an immeasurable void, her love for him never wavered, and she carried him in her heart always.

She deeply loved spending time with her nephews and found great joy in being part of their lives. She especially cherished her great-nephew, Niko Avon, whom she loved dearly and adored spending time with.
She was a fan of Star Wars and enjoyed the comfort and imagination it brought her throughout her life.
Sherri was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeremy Lester Little; and her sisters, Rhonda "Poo" Avon and Lisa "Mo" Wyatt.
She is survived by her loving parents, Joyce F. Lester and Ted Lester; her daughter, Jessica (David) Russell; her cherished grandson, Jeremy Russell; her nephews, Justin Avon and Jayden Avon; and her beloved cats, Mittens and Grayson.
Sherri will be remembered for her kind heart, her strong faith, her love for her family, the friendships she cherished, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
In accordance with her wishes, her family will celebrate her life at a gathering to be held at a future date.
