Shawna Kay Myers

Shawna Kay Myers, 57, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully at her home, after a fight with cancer, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Born April 30, 1966 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late James Leroy and Margaret Louise (Hart) Orr.

On February 19, 1999, Shawna married Duane Scott Myers who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her sons, Ronnie (Rachel) Plants and Gene (Alyss) Plants; grandchildren, Riley, Roslyn, Reese, Emerson, and Lillian; siblings, Jimmy (Sandy) Orr, Rollin (Kathy) Orr, Jeffrey Orr, Martin “Lennie” (Kerry) Orr, and Lori (Steve) Hicks; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Sadie Orr, as well as her parents.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Shawna had worked at 31 Inc. for ten years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed gardening.

Family and friends are invited to call at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 4, prior to a celebration of her life which will begin at noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
