Sharon A. (Knisely) Barton

Sharon Ann (Knisely) Barton, 56, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, O., following a period of declining health.

Born April 25, 1954 in Waynesburg, Pa., she was a daughter of the late James Harvey and Edith Ivanor (Zollars) Knisely.

Sharon was a resident of the Twin City area for the past four years, having previously been a longtime resident of Jefferson, Pa. where she had worked for many years as a registered nurse.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barton, and her son, Michael David Balazick who died tragically at the age of seventeen. She was also preceded in death by four infant brothers.

Her surviving family includes three sisters, Linda Weinhardt of Sherrodsville, Barbara Schoffler of Shamokin, Pa., and Becky Rosetti of Jefferson, Pa.; two brothers, John and Gary Knisely, both of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her dogs who she loved dearly.

In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation or service. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the American Heart Association.
