Sharon Kay Bland

Sharon Kay Bland, 78, of Tuscarawas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, January 27, 2023. Born December 17, 1944 in Canton, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Jacob and Mary Pauline (Koellner) Paulus.

On April 1, 1961, Sharon married Robert E. Bland who survives her at their home. She is also survived by their daughter, Valerie (Tom) Boggs; grandsons, Alexander Marbais and Vincent (Erin) Marbais; great-grandson, Dante Marbais; her brother, Noel (Daniel Ford) Paulus; sister-in-law, Carol Paulus; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas Paulus and Dwayne and Lynn Paulus.

Sharon will be remembered for her many years of work as an accomplished seamstress at Older Bros. in Dennison, and she was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church at Stillwater. Sharon loved spending time with her husband and family, especially when travelling and camping.

According to Sharon’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
