Scott Allen Huston

April 23, 1965 — January 10, 2019

Scott Allen Huston, 53, of Dennison, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, after several months of illness. Born April 23, 1965 in Dover, he was a son of the late Donald Eugene “Red” and Mary Jane (Pfeister) Huston.

Scott was a lifelong Twin City resident and 1984 graduate of Claymont High School, having attended Buckeye Career Center in their restaurant management program. For a number of years, he was employed by Ember Complete Care in their office. He was a member of Straight Gate Baptist Church in Dennison. Scott served on the board of the Society for Equal Access transportation and was a member of the Dennison Eagles. He will be remembered for his love of country and expressions of patriotism. He had immense respect for local law enforcement and fire department personnel and spent many happy times in their company.

He will be deeply missed by his sister, Jackie (Raymond) Moulton; brothers, Kevin (Mia) Huston and Troy (Michele) Huston; numerous nieces and nephews, including Kellie (Brian) Lowe and Holly Cox who were like sisters to him; and many dear friends and extended family members.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes cremation is planned. A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Mike O’Guin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, in the fellowship hall of Park Christian Church in Dennison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
