Sandra Sue "Sonnie" Basiletti

Sandra Sue “Sonnie” Basiletti, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Dennison, passed away on her 70th birthday, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Sunny Slope Nursing Home in Bowerston, after a period of declining health. Born September 5, 1945 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Henry William and Mary Margaret (Trushell) Basiletti.

A lifelong resident of the area, Sandra attended Starlight Enterprises, Inc. for many years. She loved to eat and was always delighted when her family would bring her Pepsi-Cola, Snyder’s chips and Hershey bars. She was also a great fan of Patsy Cline’s music. She enjoyed attending a variety of local churches.

Sandra is survived by her siblings, James E. (Bonnie) Basiletti and Donna Jean Cargnel; nephews and nieces, David Sluka, Steven Sluka, Rebecca Day, Holly Basiletti, Matthew Basiletti, Jeff Springhetti, Jackie McNutt, Melanie Basiletti, and Angie Basiletti; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, including Brooke and Gus who loved spending time with their great-aunt and were very active in her care over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald E. Basiletti, and a nephew, James K. Basiletti.

Services for Sandra, officiated by Pastor Scot Caley, will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, September 9, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her parents in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7pm on Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Christian Church.
