Sandra A. "Sandy" Watson

November 18, 1964 — June 2, 2013

Sandra Anne “Sandy” Watson, 48, of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 2, 2013 after a period of declining health. Born November 18, 1964 in Dennison, she was a daughter of George R. Watson and Barbara A. Watkins, both of Uhrichsville. She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Watson and Susan (Bruce) Diegmiller of Uhrichsville; nephews, Jeff (Linda) Hupp, Jr. and David Diegmiller of Uhrichsville; great-nieces and great-nephews, Austin Lute and Sasha and Siya Hupp of Uhrichsville and Sara Wardell of New Philadelphia; aunts, Patricia Allison and Judy Young of Richmond, Virginia; and four cousins.

A lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County, Sandy was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School in the class of 1982. Until her health prevented her, she attended Newport United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville where she had been baptized. She will be lovingly remembered for her big heart and generous spirit. Despite enduring many challenges in her life, she always found the bright spot and focused on the positive. Sandy dearly loved her pets whom she cared for like they were her children, and she also enjoyed collecting angels.

Services for Sandy, officiated by Pastor Lyle Warren, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home for an hour prior to her service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Sandy’s memory are encouraged to offer an act of kindness to someone. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 6895 Dover-Zoar Rd. N.E., Dover, OH 44622.
