Samuel Douglas Dunlap

Samuel Douglas Dunlap, 79, of Newcomerstown, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 16, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Born July 21, 1939 in Carrollton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Kenneth Conner and Beatrice Lillian (Timmerman) Dunlap. Sam was a graduate of Conotton Valley High School before beginning his long career as a welder at Gradall Co. (the former Warner & Swasey) in New Philadelphia.

He is survived by his sons, R. Douglas (companion, Lisa Grant) Dunlap, K. Mark (Mary Lou) Dunlap, and Samuel D. Dunlap, Jr.; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Linda) Dunlap; several nieces and nephews; and his longtime companion, Barbara Adams.

In keeping with Sam’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. He will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interim HealthCare of Coshocton and the American Cancer Society.
