Ruth Warner

Ruth Warner, 66, of Newcomerstown, passed away at Union Hospital in Dover on December 21, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 18, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Callie (Haney) Miller.

Ruth was the devoted wife of Lanny P. Warner, Sr. who survives her at their home. The couple was married on August 26, 2000. She is also survived by a daughter, Tonya Jo Flores of New Philadelphia; 4 stepchildren, Michelle Triplett of Uhrichsville, Lanny P. Warner, Jr. of New Philadelphia, Scott A. (Christina) Warner of Uhrichsville and Michael L. Warner of New Philadelphia; 8 grandchildren, Callie, Devon, Phillip, Anayla, Aleigha, Issac, Isaiah and Lucas; 3 great-grandchildren, Datontiay, Azaria and Dyson; many stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Virginia of Dayton and Maxine Knotts of Uhrichsville; a brother, Joseph Miller of Newcomerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson-in-law, Kirk Triplett; 2 sisters, Viola and Mildred; and a niece, Nicolle Kinsey.

Ruth was a State Tested Nursing Assistant who had also worked for Barbour Publishing for a time. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved doing crafts and decorations, cooking, caring for and decorating her home with beautiful furniture, and going shopping, especially at garage and yard sales.

Services for Ruth, officiated by Rev. James R. Smith, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Port Washington’s Salem-Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her family, in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269, to help defray the cost of her final expenses.
