Roy "Butch" Sanders

Roy Eugene “Butch” Sanders, 73, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia after a brief illness. Born March 29, 1944 in Dennison, he was a son of the late James Roy and Mary Agnes (Freeland) Sanders. Butch was a lifelong area resident and had attended Countryside Baptist Church in Port Washington.

He is survived by his siblings, Elmer (Roselle) Sanders, Henry (companion, Shelly) Sanders, Donna Sanders-Bloom, and Carl (Penny) Sanders; a sister-in-law, Shirley Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Walter, Robert Lee and Delbert Sanders and Mary Lou Workman.

In keeping with Butch’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. He will be interred with his family at West Union Cemetery near Gilmore.
