Rosie Hazella Murray, 84, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Hennis Care Center in Dover, after a period of declining health. Born December 22, 1931 in Cadiz, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Blanche (Tarbert) Clay. Rosie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who had also worked as a nurses’ aide at Newport Nursing Home for a number of years.
On November 25, 1951, Rosie married Paul Junior Murray with whom she enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until his passing on March 18, 2002. They are survived by children, Penny (Jim) Dillon, Paula (Chuck) Trolio, Pam Murray, Peggy (Keith) Porter, Paul (Lisa) Murray, Philip (Leslie) Murray, Phyllis Jean (David) Jones, and Patrick “Jeff” (companion, Sue Parrish) Murray; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren with another expected; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosie was preceded in death by her siblings, Grace Brokaw, Veda Jones, Fred Clay and Ernest Clay; a grandson-in-law; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services, officiated by Pastor Jose Pena, will be held at 11am on Friday, July 1, 2016, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where she will be interred beside her beloved husband. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Thursday, June 30, in the funeral home.
