Rosemary Agnes Lunemann, 89, of Scio, Ohio, formerly a resident of Oak Park, Michigan for nearly 45 years, passed away at her home while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 9, 2020. Born June 19, 1931 in Hundred, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Archibald Leo and Bertha (Collier) Yeater. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe and Dave Yeater.
A lifelong woman of faith, Rosemary was a 1949 graduate of Holy Rosary High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the church organist for decades at St. Beatrice Catholic Church and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Michigan, and most recently had been a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Music was an important part of her life, both in her church life and as a director of the Sometime Singers. She also loved to crochet and enjoyed her membership in the Alturian Club in Scio.
On October 6, 1956, she married Albert Carl Lunemann with whom she celebrated 64 years of loving marriage on the Tuesday before her passing. She is also survived by their five children, Paul Lunemann, Mary Beth (Jon) Traines, Anna (Terry Mitchell) Lunemann, Jim (Bonnie) Lunemann, and Vince Lunemann; grandchildren, Jacob (Chiara), David (Olivia), Seth (Becca), Catrina, Christina, Michael, Gregory (Kaitlyn), Katie, Emily (Xavier), and Elizabeth (Konnor); great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Travis, Nova, Marissa, Kaelee, Michael Jr., and Isaiah; and nieces, Monica (Randall) Renn and Yvonne (David) Smith.
Father Tom Gardner will celebrate the funeral Mass on Monday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
