Rosemae L. "Doris" Henary

Rosemae Louise “Doris” Henary, 82, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Hennis Care Centre in Dover while surrounded by her loving family. Born January 8, 1931 in Creston, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Jack and Stella Jane (Headley) Burkey who was raised by her dear foster parents, the late David C. and Mildred L. (Orr) Moody.

A resident of the Twin City area for much of her life, Doris was a former member of Rush Community Church of the Nazarene. She worked for many years at the Uhrichsville Eagles, as well as for Twin City Hospital. She was a Senior Regent of the Uhrichsville Women of the Moose, and belonged to the Uhrichsville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, the Midvale V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the former Uhrichsville Army Navy Garrison.

She is survived by a son, James Lee (Kim) Henary of Mt. Morris, Pa.; daughters, Linda (Louie) Garbrandt of Dennison, Deborah (J.R.) Malott of Sandyville, Ohio, Lavan (Dick) Baker of Dover, and Shendria Kay Henary Blackson of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Enos, Robbie Garbrandt, Michelle (Scott) Shook, Matthew (Angela) Henary, Makayla Henary, Wesley Baker, and Matthew (Ashley) Baker; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Judy (Pete) Buttiiglire of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and foster parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Mark Henary; seven brothers, Homer, Jack, Roy, Ralph, William, Albert and Martin Burkey; four sisters, Eva Tallchief, Ada Beaver, Myrtle Wade, and Stella Hammer; a granddaughter, Dustie McMath Mahaffey; and a dear companion of many years, William Voshall.

Services for Doris, officiated by Pastor Cliff Hughes, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a 7:45 p.m. Women of the Moose Memorial Service.
