Rosalie June Albright

Rosalie June Albright, 72, of New Philadelphia, O., formerly of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, O., after a lengthy illness.

Born April 13, 1937 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Buster “Bus” and Clara (Myers) Johnson Crabtree.

A resident of Uhrichsville until 1965, June was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School in the class of 1955, having been the Homecoming Queen, Secretary, and Valedictorian of her class, as well as President of the National Honor Society. She worked as a secretary for several area businesses, including the Royals’ Clay City Co., Ruger Equipment and Gibson Brothers Insurance.

June was the loving wife of William H. Albright, to whom she was married on August 8, 1958. She is also survived by her son, Derek Colton Albright and his wife, Jeannie, of New Philadelphia; two grandsons, William Hunter and Garrett Fisher Albright of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Jack Emil Johnson and Saundra of Brightwood and Johnny Johnson and his wife, Jeannie, of Dennison; her Aunt Susie Kleski of Wainwright; her stepfather, Eugene Crabtree of Uhrichsville; dear friends and cousins, Bill and Chris Patrick of North Carolina; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Eugene Crabtree, Sr.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, June loved caring for her family and home. She especially enjoyed gardening and was a great lover of all animals. She was a covenant member of First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia.

In keeping with June’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April, 13, 2010 in First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in The Barn at First Baptist Church until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Interment will be in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
