Ronnie Ernest Walton

Ronnie Ernest Walton, 61, of Dennison, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, after a lengthy illness. Born May 28, 1954 in Dennison, he was a son of Erma V. (Chandler) Walton of New Philadelphia and the late Terrence L. Walton.

Ronnie was a resident of Dennison for most of his life and a 1972 graduate of Claymont High School. He worked for several area businesses over the years, including Tusco Grocers in Dennison, Alsco in Gnadenhutten, and Papa John’s Pizza in New Philadelphia. In his spare time, he loved riding his motorcycle, boating, and travel.

In addition to his mother, Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Tina Marie (husband, Delmer Roup) Rowin of Uhrichsville; brother, Rick (Patsy) Walton of Jasper, Alabama; brother-in-law, Bill Owens of New Philadelphia; nieces and nephews, Laura (Mark) Burke, Travis (Jen) Armstrong, Todd Walton, Joey (Allison) Walton, T.J. Walton, Jessica Walton, and Ricky Walton, Jr.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Chantz, Hanna and Gavin Burke, and Noah and Ian Walton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Owens, as well as his father.

Services for Ronnie will be held at 3pm on Friday, July 3, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
