Ronald G. Mccomb

Ronald G. McComb, 61, of Midvale, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Union Hospital in Dover. Born July 5, 1956 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Donald Dean and Doris Arlene (Robinson) McComb.

Ron was a lifelong Midvale resident, a 1974 graduate of Indian Valley North, and the longtime owner and operator of McComb’s Market in Midvale. He served many years on the Midvale Water Board, most recently as the President. He was a talented musician and was the drummer for a number of area bands, especially Calico. He will be fondly remembered by many for his kindness, generosity and outgoing nature. Ron never knew a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need.

A devoted and loving family man, Ron was married to the former Teresa L. Carpenter on August 6, 1976, and is also survived by their daughter, Chrissy (Chad) Lynch, and grandsons, Connor and Mason Lynch, with whom he spent many treasured times on family vacations and attending their sporting events. His siblings, Sandy Donehue and Jeff (Dena) McComb, and many nieces and nephews complete the family. Ron will be dearly missed by many, especially his close friends, who were more like family, Jeremy Garrett, Mike Furiato, and Rocky Byers.

Pastor Lyle Warren will officiate a 1:00 p.m. service on Monday, September 11, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
