Ronald Lynn Dickey, 68, of Dover, formerly a Twin City resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, following a lengthy illness. Born June 1, 1952 in Harrison County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Donald Curtis Dickey, Sr. and Anna Lucille (Arnold) Dickey. He was a graduate of Claymont High School who had been employed by Republic Storage for a number of years. He loved to play cards, enjoyed watching sports – especially football – and was always up for a game of chance.
Ron will be sadly missed by his surviving family which includes his daughter, Jennifer; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Anna) Dickey, Jr.; sisters, Darlene Steve, Leah (Donald) Recchiuti, Victoria (Sammuel) Groah, and Lonna (John III) Kiste; brother-in-law, Minnard Gray; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and aunts, Vina Smith and Nancy Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Gray.
Services, officiated by Rev. Floyd Stanfill, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
