Rodney "Swiss" Reed

Rodney Dillon Eric Reed, known by his loving family and many friends as “Swiss”, of Uhrichsville, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the age of 29. Born November 9, 1993 in Houston, Texas, he was a son of Cathy Ann (Guthrie) Greer with whom he had resided and the late Douglas Eric Reed.

A Twin City resident since 2001, Swiss enjoyed being a member of the Vanner’s Club and its associated following – always looking forward to the next van in get together. His company was always enjoyed by both friends and family alike as he was the life of the party as a 2%er of the Vanner’s community. He enjoyed river rafting and will always be remembered for his creative ways and one-of-a-kind personality. Swiss was someone who would always go out of his way to help and support those around him.

In addition to his mother, Swiss is survived by his siblings, Michael (Wendy) Greer, Justin (Heather) Greer, Crystal (companion, Chris) Hedrick, and his youngest brother with whom he was especially close, having shared many good times together, Alston (Shelby) Greer. He will also be missed by friends, including Gizmo, Lee Rowe, Chuck, and Bill.

His family is holding a Celebration of Life for Swiss on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at "Bills".
