Rodney L. Peters, 52, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Wooster, passed away at his home on April 8, 2018, after bravely battling terminal illness. Born May 20, 1965 in Wooster, he was a son of the late Dennis Schuch and Shirley Peters.
Rodney is survived by his longtime, loving companion, Leah Davis; siblings, Gerald (Sonja) Duncan, Holly Gibson, Denise Monk, John Schuch and Lee Schuch; 2 daughters and a son; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
An avid fisherman, he will be remembered as a catfishman by his many friends. He was outgoing and loving to his family and friends, and he enjoyed travels. In recent years, he enjoyed going out West, as well as attending many concerts.
In keeping with Rodney’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public viewing. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Charitable contributions in honor of Rodney’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3500 Embassy Parkway, Ste. 150, Akron, OH 44333 and St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Main St., Chamberlain, SD 57325.
