Robert C. Wright

Robert C. Wright, 77, of Uhrichsville, formerly of Dennison, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a brief illness. Born February 19, 1935 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Joseph Earl and Mary Florence “Peg” (Jackson) Wright.

A lifelong resident of the area, Bob was a graduate of Dennison High School in the class of 1953. He was an auto technician for Brightwood Motors for many years until his retirement in 1984, after which he devoted as much time as he could to his favorite pastime and passion, fishing, spending countless happy hours on local lakes and waterways.

On November 10, 1963, he married the former Elizabeth Ann Affolter with whom he enjoyed nearly thirty-two years of marriage until her passing on August 16, 1995. They are survived by four children, Peggy Jean (Bruce A.) Shaffer of Uhrichsville Clinton Cash Wright of Uhrichsville, Bobbi Beth (Jim) Wright-Justice of Sandusky and Donald William Wright of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Kacey Shaffer, Kayla (Matt) Mutersbaugh-Querin and Cyler Wright; and great-grandchildren, Ryker, Jaxon and Kaylee. Bob is also survived by a sister, Ruth (Jay) Richardson of Wilmington, Delaware and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Earl and John Cecil “Jack” Wright.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation or service. He will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery with his mother at a later date.
