Robert L. Robinson

Robert L. “Bob” Robinson, 84, of Dennison, O., passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, O.

Born August 3, 1925 in Tuscarawas, O., he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary (Montague) Robinson.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the area who was employed by Superior Clay for over forty-five years until his retirement in the late 80’s. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the piano. He attended Roxford United Methodist Church for many years until his health prevented him.

On November 7, 1959, Bob married the former Anna R. Holmes with whom he celebrated fifty years of marriage this past fall. He is also survived by a daughter, Stephanie Carroll and her husband, Mark, of Gnadenhutten; a son, Scott Robinson of Dennison; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kelli Carroll of Gnadenhutten; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The last of his generation, Bob was preceded in death by five brothers: Charles, Thomas, Richard, Alfred, and Elmer; and four sisters: Janet, Margaret, Mary and Catherine, in addition to his parents.

Services for Bob, officiated by Pastor Ron Heasley, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
