Robert C. Roberts

Robert C. Roberts, 88, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born February 18, 1936 in Dennison, he was the son of the late William Robert Roberts and Musetta May (Bell) Roberts Stull.

After his 1955 graduation from Dennison High School, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 8 years. He enjoyed a 45-year career at Gradall, retiring as a supervisor in 2000. He will be remembered for his role as a sports announcer for local high school sports on WNPQ for many years. He was a longtime member of Uhrichsville Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree member of the F. & A.M. at the former Mystic Tie Lodge #194 in Dennison. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting.

On October 29, 1955, Bob married the former Barbara L. McCool with whom he enjoyed over 60 years of marriage until her passing on April 7, 2016. They are survived by their daughters, Kathy A. (Don) Ferguson and Linda S. (Paul) Davis; grandchildren, Bryan (Hallie) Ferguson, Christopher (Nicole) Ferguson, Christina (Joshua) Yackey, Josh (Ashlee) Davis, Keith Roberts, and Dustin Roberts; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Pamela Roberts, Parker, Mason, Tinleigh, and Tucker Davis, Maddox and Sophia Ferguson, and Bobby Yackey. Bob is also survived by his sister, Roberta Blind, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Roberts, son, Timothy A. Roberts, and great-grandson, Spencer Davis.

Pastor Kory Rowland will officiate an 11:00 a.m. funeral on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside his beloved wife in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1.
