Robert Allen “Pixie” Grandison, 73, of Dennison, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Born January 9, 1948 in Dennison, he was the son of Betty Louise (Parker) Grandison of Uhrichsville and the late Robert Dale Grandison.
Pixie was a lifelong Twin City resident who retired from Reeves Steel Mill after a 30 year career in their maintenance department. In retirement, he enjoyed working for Ember Complete Care, taking care of all their maintenance needs. He was a longtime member of the American Italian Club in Dennison, as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Dennison and Uhrichsville. Pixie was an avid woodworker who spent many happy hours working in his shop. His handcrafted creations will be treasured by all those who received them. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Most of all, he loved the time that he spent with his family and friends.
On August 9, 1982, he married the former Kelly Denise Renicker who survives him at their home. He is also survived by his children, Brett Grandison, Ashley (Shane) Fiester, Melanie (Shawn) Ciekanski, and Phillip Grandison; grandchildren, Kyden, McKenzie, Logan, Cayden, and Taylor; sister, Brenda Halter; multiple nieces and nephews; and his dear cousin who was like a brother to him, Jock (Lois) Grandison. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Tom Renicker and Sally Hall, and a nephew, Kyle J. Williams.
According to Pixie’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
