Robert W. Pedrotty

Robert William Pedrotty, 94, of Dennison, passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Born February 14, 1927 in Uhrichsville, he was the only child of the late Harry W. and Thelma Elizabeth (Woodrow) Pedrotty. He was a lifelong area resident with the exception of the years that he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1947. He was a 1944 graduate of Uhrichsville High School and a retiree of Associated Grocers in Dennison, having retired in 1989 after 23 years of service. Bob was a member of Teamsters Local #92 in Canton before also belonging to their Retirees Club, was a member of AARP, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison throughout his life.

On November 10, 1979, Bob married Amparo “Penny” (Reyes) Ruscin Pedrotty with whom he enjoyed over 18 years of marriage until her passing on May 10, 1998. In addition to Penny and his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Michael Pedrotty. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his daughter, Jill A. Pedrotty; step children, Janet Hurst, Mary A. Pica, B.J. (Steve) Brandon, Theresa (Len) Simonetti, Maggie Moreland, John (Suzi) Ruscin, Carmen (Randy) Fawcett, Gigi (Mike) Heddleston, and DiDi Rogers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Father Tom Gardner will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15, in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison with a military committal service. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison and will conclude with a 4:45 p.m. eulogy service. The wearing of masks and social distancing are required to attend the visitation and the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church’s Cemetery Fund.
