Robert Eugene Mcbeth

Robert Eugene McBeth, 84, of Dennison, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Community Hospice in New Philadelphia. Born November 20, 1931 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Homer Webster and Wilma Pauline (Bartholow) McBeth.

On October 31, 1981, Bob married the former Nancy Jane Patterson who survives him. He is also survived by children, Helen (Ed) Greenwood, Ralph (Barb) McBeth, and Darrel McBeth; stepdaughter, Nancy (Glenn) Burtner; grandchildren, Tammy (Eric) Dearing, Joshua Hooper, Shawnsee (James) Armstrong, Kimberly (Tommy) Murphy, and Shane (Allison) Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Jason, Reese, Jordan, Darran, Halie, Jade, Jake, Madison, Garrett, and Aubriana with another expected; sisters, Nancy Brown and Patricia Simmons; brother-in-law, Earl Greenwood; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Donald; sisters, Dorothy and Delores; and stepchildren, Donald Hooper and Maggie Mace.

After attending Dennison High School, Bob served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Upon his return home, he began his 41 year career with Greer Steel. He was a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services for Bob, officiated by Pastor Roger Deardorff, will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 18, 2016, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Visitation will be 11am-1pm on Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Disable American Veterans.
